Still no word from Bath & Body, I should call and see what they have decided but I guess I just don't really want it bad enough to find out. I have found plenty of things around my house that need my attention in a bad way! I have always thought of myself as detailed cleaner, ummm, maybe not. I'm a very good "surface" cleaner I suppose, but I am noticing quit a bit of little things popping up that aren't looking to great. Like, my silk plants for example, they are so dusty, I need to pull those down and clean them, my base boards in my kitchen and bathrooms need to be repainted ASAP. My windows and screens are HORRIBLE, not to mention the blinds. I need to get all of my tulip bulbs planted for next year. I have a pretty good list going on. I can't believe it has taken me so long to notice some of these things, yuck. So I will be starting that next week! Fun.
I just had to replace our washer and dryer this week. My washer started to leak last Sunday and got worse as the week went on. Jared thinks I broke it on purpose because I had just been asking for the front loading set a few weeks back. So he messed around with it on Monday night and couldn't fix it. Sigh......My new Kenmore front loading set was delivered this evening. I am a little nervous using it, just because it is so different but I am sure I'll get the hang of it soon.
I have been reading Katie's running posts for a few weeks now and couldn't wait to get started. They have got me so motivated to do something. I had some surgery a few weeks ago and have had to wait 6 weeks before I could start exercising again. I usually just use my treadmill, but I thought I would give it a try outside the other morning. I took the kids to school and started from there. I am not sure exactly what the distance was, but I was gone for about 45 min. Doing the interval running Katie has talked about. I think I should have started back into it a bit slower and maybe on my treadmill. My shins are a killing me!! I was running about 3 miles a day on my treadmill before, I am a little surprised that after just 5 weeks I would be that bad off. Am I doing something wrong that they would hurt so bad on the sidewalk, but not on the treadmill? Or am I just a big wuss? Any tips would be great. I really want to mix it up by running outside a little. Especially with the cooler weather we have been having in the mornings.

I'm sorry you shins are so sore, but that's fabulous that you are running.
Shin splints are awful. They are a sign that you are doing too much too fast. Back down a bit for a while and they will go away.
Also, the treadmill has a nice soft surface that is much easier on your body. Concrete, sidewalk, is very hard and is very hard for your joints to absorb.
A good thing to do to build your shins up is to spell out all the letters of the alphabet with your feet. It hurts but it helps.
Good for you getting back into your running. I have been a slacker since we moved. I went the other day for 40 mins. I need to get back into it.

I know, I have been reading Katie's stats and I keep thinking I should get out and exercise as well. I think it's great you're getting out and running. I have never been a runner; it hurts and I quit too easily. You'll have to keep me posted on how it goes. Who knows, maybe I'll get inspired to get out too.
I finally figured out a name... check it out:
