Finally summer is here

Finally, a week with temps over 85 for the entire week. Summer is here. I was fairly certain that I wouldn't be a fan of working during the summer before summer got here. Now that it's here and I can see these hot, lazy pool days are going to pass me by; its official, I am NOT a fan of working during the summer. Don't get me wrong. I still LOVE my job, I have made some good friends there and I love the out I get. And the kids are doing really really well being home without me. But damn if it isn't hard sitting there letting the hot summer sun pass me by. Missing the pool, movies and lunches at the park. I have been very lucky to have as many summers as I have had at home, that's what probably makes it a little hard. We will all live I suppose, me a little whiter than normal, but we'll live....

This summer still has some fun times to be held. Jared and Jakson are heading to San Fransisco with my dad to visit my brother and hit up some ball games. Jakson can't be any more excited! Jakson also made all stars so that is something to look forward to. I'm doing another half marathon in August. And the best part of the whole summer....Jack Johnson and John Mayer will be back at Usana! I can't freaking wait!!!!!! We also tried our hand at a garden this year, so here is to hoping it grows. Its been fun watching it so far.

Hope you all have a wonderful summer...soak up all those sun rays I won't be getting Mon-Fri. :)

I love summer. It's been too long being sick last summer. :) I'll soak up some rays for you. :) I'm glad you love your job. You're my hero for running the race last weekend. AMAZING!

I'm mising Conner's first summer! Our nanny has loved taking him outside and playing with him. And I hate being stuck inside working on my office tan! So I know exactly how you feel!

Sad. I am soaking in every second, because, like you, I know it won't last forever. But, think of all the extra things you get because you are working, that should help a little, right?
