Half Marathon

Saturday was the Provo half marathon. It crept up on me kind of fast. I had been really good with my training April and May, I then got sick the first part of June and lost all motivation. I finally picked back up my training in July. I'm really excited about my time. I finished in 2hrs 6min. It was mostly a down hill run. Not to steep but down hill, so it made for a little bit of an easier run. It was a perfect cool morning. I loved every minute of it!! Can't wait to do it again. My legs however, have not been cooperative. Today is the first day I've gone up and down the stair normally. It's been really pathetic. ;) I have no pictures sorry....I had asked Jared and the kids to stay home. I know, lame. It's always so cute to see little kids waiting at the end cheering for their mom too, so maybe next time I'll have them there.

Dusty,

Do you remember running the mile in gym class and looking for every way to get out of it or how to make it shorter? I think about that everytime you post something about running! :)

Great job! I can't imagine being that motivated!

Sara! Yes I think of that all the time. Let me tell you, if I could have found a way out of that last mile on Sat. I would have taken it just like in Jr high. Hehe...remember when she made me call my mom and tell her I cheated on the mile? How funny!

Honestly, you had to call your mom? Obviouslly you hadn't perfected the art of cutting through the front doors and through the side gym doors to get out of the mile run..... and get one of the best times ever in Jefferson history. HAH.

No, seriously, I am really proud of you considering I am winded after 2 miles and ready to pass out.
