Fishing

So, we decided to take the kids fishing yesterday for the first time this year, I know we're lame, its the end of July. They had such a great time. Jakson absolutely loves to go fish with his dad. As soon as spring hits he starts asking when they can go. We decided to take them up to Mirror Lake since that is one of our favorite places to go and we hadn't been up there for a few years. We usually go to Payson Lakes but since its been closed twice this season for bear sightings we thought we would go somewhere else. So, we packed up the car with lunch, drinks, chairs, a book, fishing gear, and umbrellas knowing it would rain. The kids had a great time, and I had a great time just watching them. We got a few hours in before the rain started to come down hard and had to leave. No fish were caught this time....we did however get to see a moose just grazing in the water of a nearby lake on our way down. That was awesome, the kids hadn't seen one before and thought it was great.

I thought I would give this "blogging" thing a try. I have been reading my cousins (actually Jared's cousins) blogs for a while and love it. We don't get to see each other that often and I think this is such a great way to stay in touch and see what is going on in each others lives. I am not sure how good I will be at this but I am going to try it out.
